*claps hands*.... where are my runes?! T-T... seriously is that what he's doing when he's collecting runes? just clapping? Heehee... and when he does clap it looks like he has no bones in his arms... like they are just tentacles waving out infront of him lol. Gameplay wasnt too bad tho it was annoying at times. The only really good part to the game was the rune system. Other than that. The bow was pretty clumsy especially trying to shoot flying enemies (btw... I shot a flying demon in the head 5 times and the butt 3 times before i was finally able to do damage to him since for some reason there is only a 2 pixel wide area to hit a fatass demon). It's a pretty good concept for a game, nothing too new tho. Every time i tried to move tho, the camera would shoot ahead of me and my character would go out of view. Which was annoying since i kept having to drag the mouse back everytime i moved just to be able to see my character again. Graphics werent too bad, tho sound was kinda suckish. storyline, what little of it there was, wasnt too bad. Iron out the kinks, add a bit more storyline and maybe add some different classes or weapons atleast and it would be a really nice game. The thing that made Diablo great was that it had alot of story for those who wanted it and alot of character choices.

The characters were poorly draw, the battles were buggy and boring, the storyline was surprisingly boring. For some reason all the characters in the game were lesbians... I just dont understand it i guess -.-

Fish Me

"mmm"

submission: Fish Me

the game is pretty simple i suppose. My only problem is that the shark moves WAY faster than the fish can move... especially when you're scrolling to get to the top. It really makes it annoying to play and not very enjoyable at all. The upgrades were a plus and it was a pretty cute game but the speed of the shark and the fact that he didnt go the same distance each time (usually he'd just go the full length of the dang water from top to bottom or he'd move an inch) made it more annoying to play than enjoyable. I would suggest making the shark a bit slower and making his movements a little closer to the same instead of such a big difference between moves.

"bit buggy"

date: December 17, 2008

Few annoying little bugs... especially with the stones. I'd pick up something like amethyst but it would count towards like mithril or w/e instead. It's weird because the counters are all screwed up. Or i'd have "enough" to upgrade my weapon but it wouldnt let me upgrade because the bug says i dont have enough even tho it appears that i have enough in the pause menu. the game itself was pretty good. I would suggest like a gem store or something where you can trade the different colored gems for the ones you NEED. Since half the time i only got one upgrade before i either died or killed the boss... sometimes i'd sit there for like 10 or 20 minutes dancing around enemy attakcs trying to get the gems i need. One thing that bothered me was the final weapon on either side... they both had the same special attack... which kinda sucked but oh well. and the "ultimate" form of the boss was the same form as the 2nd form in normal mode... which was a mega disappointment. This has the makings of a GREAT game but the bugs and limited gameplay severely lessen the enjoyablility. I'd like to see different bosses... maybe like a choice between the boss you fight and such. or atleast more monsters around. a Gem trading feature would be nice. most people would say "more weapons" and such but i believe the weapons are pretty nice. More skills would be welcomed. Maybe making it possible to buy skills or special attacks with gems. The dash was kind of sucky because it didnt last very long and there was no way to improve speed or length. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable game. the second one will probably be awesome. Just a few little improvements would make it a great game.

Fear Unlimited Arena

"Good...but..."

date: December 17, 2008

It's a really good game, well thought out and pretty similar to the DMC games... good music, good graphics, difficulty is pretty good (tho i cant figure out if there is actually an END to the damn demons...) Only problem i have is the bugs... with a non-stop action game like this, you REALLY need to iron out the bugs asap or else it will severely damage the gameplay. some bugs are with the dang demons themselves... like when you hit a demon and it is still able to hit you without actually completing an attack. I know some demons can counter while you're attacking but the level 1 demons glitching attacks in without the animation of the full attack gets annoying. the weapons werent too bad, except i didnt like how you move forward so much while using EVERY SINGLE ATTACK! Makes the bosses, that dont move with you, pretty damn hard. The guns were a bit over powered (but that makes up for the underpowered guns in DMC). the variety of monsters was great, but the variety of gameplay...not so great. It should be more like DMC with missions instead of like a non-stop arena mode. Or atleast have "missions" that are only 10 rounds long or less with a boss at the end. That would make it a whole lot better. other than that, i cant see too many problems with it. Though i would suggest picking some more "hardcore" music to make it sound more like DMC. Since half the music they have in the DMC series consists of screaming and heavy metal and such, it would add a bit more likeness to the game if you had some angrier music ^_^ One last bug (i think it's a bug... may just be my computer) is the save game feature... i dont believe it works because it says "saving game..." or something similar to that then it just keeps "saving" and stops... doesnt give me a confirmation or anything. I believe this game has the makings of an incredible game. A bit of lag here and there but that's probably my crappy connection. i hope you consider my suggestions and such. Nice game, easily a 10 but i just want to give you something to work for ~_^

"good... but..."

It was a nice rpg, good music and good gameplay. one of the better games i've seen on newgrounds. Graphics werent too bad... my one problem was that the save game feature didnt work... after 2 hours of playing and getting pretty far, i saved and went out for a little bit. came back and went to load my game... but the stupid game didnt save... pissed me off. other than that, a good game i suppose.

Author's Response:

Yes, there seems to be some bug in Flash Player 10 that causes saving to fail. I can't figure out what it is, and it wasn't there when the game was released and Flash Player 9 was the current version. Downgrading to version 9 is the only option until chapter 3 is out, and yes, I know how annoying this is. But chapter 3 will be out soon, at least...

Fellowship of Kings RPG

"not TOO horrible."

date: December 15, 2008

The music was the main thing that i didnt like... It was all just so annoying. Alot ripped from legend of zelda which is fine because atleast you gave the series some credit in your comments. battles were boring, though i do like the rpg style battles like that. I would have liked to have seen some skills or something. When you get right down to it, you dont get many points for originality in the graphics or the music. The music was rather annoying and the gameplay was boring. It was a good attempt but after playing for 5 minutes, i couldnt stand the game anymore. Sorry

Hands of War RPG

"Eh..."

submission: Hands of War RPG

the game is a pretty good concept i suppose. Not something you see in many other flash games but the quests werent too fun at all. it was the same thing over and over again. Not to mention the hours and hours of killing crap just to get enough reputation to get the quests later on in the game. There should be like repeatable quests that help boost the reputation you gain with the factions... atleast put in repeatable quests for the 2 main factions. Because it got really annoying sitting around killing the same crap over and over and over again and only gettion like 5 points per kill. The skills were nice even tho they were the same exact thing for each class. I would like to see a bit more diversity with the classes. Warriors shouldnt be able to freeze something with their sword, that's more of a magical type of thing. And the highest level attacks in the game werent much better than the basic attack which i found rather disappointing. There were some good points, mainly in the diversity of enemies and the freedom of choosing which factions you want (even tho it was basically limited to a choice between mercenaries and merchants or a choice between the "good guys" and grinding for 3 hours to get the first quest with the shadow runners) I'd like to see more diversity in the skills, classes and a bit more freedom to choose which factions you want to help. maybe even more factions total. Another class would be welcome as well. I mean, you had shadow assassins but no playable assassins! lol. Other than that, a good game overall, just a bit boring later on and lacking in diversity in some areas.

the game itself wasnt too bad i suppose but it was kind of boring. and the controls? mouse to aim and A to fire? that just seemed a bit odd but really it was just boring. music was nice, graphics were simple which isnt bad. different upgrades were good i suppose so i had to give you atleast a 5 for that
